This Privacy Policy explains how DuukaMobile ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
We collect information to provide bookkeeping services (such as inventory, sales, expenses, and business analytics). We do not sell your data. You can delete your account from within the app (where available) or by contacting our support team.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account & Demographic Data: Phone number, email address, business name, and user demographic data provided during registration.
- Business Data: Inventory items, sales records, expense logs, and business metrics you input into the app.
- Customer Data: Names, contact details, and debt records of your customers that you choose to store in your ledger. Note: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and store your customers' data.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Diagnostic logs, crash reports, and analytics about how you interact with our features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve DuukaMobile.
- Sync your data securely to the cloud to ensure it is not lost if you change devices, and to enable offline capabilities.
- Process subscription payments and manage your account.
- Send you critical service updates, security alerts, and push notifications.
- Analyze aggregated, anonymized data to understand market trends and improve our features for specific regions.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Encryption: Your sensitive business data is encrypted at rest.
- Cloud Infrastructure: We use industry-standard cloud providers (such as Supabase) to securely store and sync your data. Our backend enforces strict Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure that your data can only be accessed by authenticated users belonging to your business.
- Local Storage: Data is also cached securely on your local device to enable our offline-first functionality.
4. Advertising, Tracking, and Data Sharing
We strictly DO NOT share your data with any external entity. We also DO NOT track our users' activity outside of our platform. Your business data belongs to you.
We do not sell your data.
We may allow advertisers on our own platform to launch targeted ad campaigns visible within DuukaMobile. These campaigns are targeted using internal platform logic and aggregated data. At no point is your personal, business, or customer data ever sold, rented, or transferred to these advertisers or any other third parties.
We only ever share minimal required information in the following limited and essential circumstances:
- With essential service providers who assist us in operating our app (e.g., cloud hosting, push notifications), subject to strict confidentiality agreements.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Third-Party Services
We integrate with trusted third-party services to operate the app. These third parties have their own privacy policies:
- Supabase: For database, authentication, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Cloudflare R2: For scalable and secure object storage (e.g., product images, receipts, and user files).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: For delivering push notifications.
- Google Play & Apple App Store: For processing in-app subscriptions securely. We do not collect or store your credit card information directly.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account from within the app (where available) or request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting our support team. Upon a verified request, we will delete your data from our active databases, though some residual data may remain in secure backups for a limited period.
7. App Permissions
To function correctly, DuukaMobile may request the following device permissions:
- Camera: Exclusively for barcode scanning and uploading product/receipt images.
- Storage/Photos: For saving export files (PDF/Excel) and accessing images.
- Notifications: For alerting you about inventory levels, subscription statuses, and app updates.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or local regulations. We do not notify users of any changes made. It is the user's responsibility to regularly read through and review this Privacy Policy for any updates.
